Flail mowers

No obstacles for rugged, compact and high performance machines

Selection Guide

A lawnmower or conventional brushcutter are often insufficient to clear weeds and scrub, especially when working on farmland, road verges and woodland undergrowth.

The flail mower is the ideal tool for the removal of invasive vegetation, suitable for intensive use and professional applications.

For home users we recommend one of our wheeled brushcutter models. These are compact but rugged machines on which the centralised cutting height control allows clearing of medium sized areas overgrown with weeds, scrub and invasive vegetation.

For more demanding and ongoing jobs we recommend our professional flail mowers, designed to work on steeply sloping terrain, for use on virgin land, road verges, in the presence of brambles or in woodland undergrowth.

Technology and Comfort

Designed for demanding home users, farmers and groundcare professionals, Efco wheeled brushcutters are ideal for heavy duty mowing and removal of tall and dense weeds and also for clearing undergrowth or around ditches, thanks to the large diameter rear wheels that ensure linear travel also in the presence of depressions and bumps in the terrain. These machines are rugged with highly effective cutting action with a low level of operator fatigue, thus guaranteeing fast and efficient professional jobs.

Especially resistant to impact thanks to the reinforced bearings with shields holding the cutting assembly rotor, these machines feature ergonomic control levers (wheels lock release, brakes and gears) grouped together so they are always in easy reach.

In addition, the reinforced steel cutting decks feature a generously sized area for discharge of chopped vegetation to allow easy use also in structured and prolonged working conditions.

Maintenance Guide

Observe the following tips for correct maintenance of your wheeled brushcutters and flail mowers:

-     before you start using the machine, make sure the cooling air intake area and the engine cylinder are not obstructed by any debris;
-     at the end of each operating phase clean the cutting deck and remove any residual vegetation from around the engine;
-     check that the blade is always properly sharpened to obtain a clean cut: the blade should anyway be ground and balanced every 20 working hours;
-     every 100 working hours replace the blade brake gasket and check the oil level;
-     every 25 working hours lubricate the bearings, shafts, chain and front and rear wheels.
